SPRING HAS SPRUNG!
(originally written March 2021)
Spring has certainly been springing up everywhere in the UK, thank F for that, to be quite honest! It’s been such a long and hard winter here with the lockdown restrictions, so quite glad to be delighting in the daffodils, snowdrops, primroses etc when walking in the countryside and driving in and around town. I always see them as little colourful friends of mother nature to remind us what’s on the way and have faith that sunny warm times will soon be here. I too love the bright fresh green that can be seen on some trees and bushes this time of year. I find spending a moment just taking in the fresh green colour through my eyes as food for my soul, awakens something inside of me, a newness, the beginning of something magical to come.
The evening sunshine is such a delight now until October time with it’s golden warm glow hitting the grass and silhouetting the trees, who remind me of being like guardians of the earth just saying ‘we’re still here, just waking up and readying ourselves for a summer of entertaining the children climbing and playing under us etc etc’.
I hope this summer due to so many months in lockdown that humanity or at least we Brits, appreciate our countryside and green open spaces more. Treasuring them and respecting them.
That’s enough for today about the spring returning once again, until next time.
Don’t forget to nourish and love yourself, even if it’s the teeniest amount it will have a ripple affect on all around you.
